The SPAS-12 has been my absolute fav. weapon since the game came out. I rolled with marathon/lightweight for hours. But since they fixed the care package glitch and the Akimbo Bling Models, my SPAS just hasnt been the same. If I had someone in the middle of the crosshairs before, they would go down at a decent distance, now i take the same shots and they shrug them off. Anyone notice the same thing? Is there any way of finding out what each update actually changes?? I miss the spass:-(

Il use the spas tonight and see if i can notice a difference then get back to you ........I normally use the striker so one shot better mean one shot or if they have nerfed it , it will now be the worst shotty in the game!!.

I have this happen. But it always happened randomly. Evidently some of your rounds are full of paper so sometimes the shotgun will only clip them and give them paper cuts. Didn't notice any difference since the updates so it's probably the same crappy hit detection that randomly goes on.

Yeah, I noticed something was strange with that too. I basically made that weapon my main instead of using my primary. I already have around 4k Kills with it, and it seemed more recently I would shoot someone and they were unscathed. Unless I never noticed this before.

They needed to reduce the distance on most of shotties IMO.

Hell No! Half of them dont even reach 15feet which is rediculous cause a shotgun could probly double that, mabye not with a one shot kill but definatly brutalise somone

Yeah, I feel that the shotguns should have a longer maximum range but a sharp dropoff in power at a range shorter than the current max (1-shot kill up to maybe 5-6 yards, 3 shot kill up to 30 yards), modified by barrel length for individual guns.

I just think this is a better balance of realism vs playability.

Also, akimbo shotguns should be really dangerous, but you can only fire each one once and then your character has broken wrists and has to kick and bite opponents.

Most of the guns in MW2 bear no resemblance to how they perform in real life so I don't see why shotties should be any different. Shotguns can have varying ranges. You can shoot game at 100 yards with certain guns & chokes & the right weight slug. Buck shot would be 50 yards.

For balanced game play they were right to reduce it. I'm pretty sure someone caught me but not killed me at 15 yards last night.

Any realism is kind of blown out of the water while there is akimbo shotguns.
Platy
Everytime you fire an Akimbo Shotgun your character falls over. If you're using Lightweight you get blown 100ft across the map.
