Hey bud i only installed mine the other day and havent got round to installing COD2 yet. Have you tried changing the compatibility of the setup to XP SP3. To do this right click on SETUP and go to properities then under the compatibilty tab select run in Windows XP Service Pack 3

Hi,

does it also work the same way with Vista32bit?

It's quite strange because I can play CoD1 without problems under Vista but after I installed CoD2 the game start. I can start a single player mission in the main menue, but after I tried to start a new campaign, after the game was loaded, the screen turned black an nothing happened. I tried it several times. umm.gif

Regards,

Tom.

This sounds more like something went wrong under installation - make sure the disc is clean from dust and scratches etc and try a reinstall.

Yeah I use to have Vista 32bit then upgraded to 64bit but both work running it in compatibility mode. If it doesn't work then it may be the disc but thats highly unlikely.

It has to do with the increased security settings on Windows 7. Do not use autorun. Open the folder with COD2 in Windows Explorer. Find the Setup file and right click on the file and choose Run As Administrator. It should work.
