Were are actions justifiable invading these countries? Explain your reasons.

Don't know the full story, so I can't speculate.

But most people are just going to mention 9/11

Very mixed feelings about it. While I think if something like 9/11 happens, the person responsible must meet justice. Then again, I can't help but feel horrible about the innocent people killed in Iraq over what a group of idiots have done. If we don't end it now, what will be attacked next? Who will be the next to suffer? It has to end some time, I guess there's a lot of deaths to prevent many more.

Well I think it mostly because of 9/11, and the UN got tired of Saddam killing people, so Bush gave Saddam 48 hours to leave or invaded which Saddam said No. So here we are in a war that been going on since 2001. Well that what I think. bleh.gif

I think attacking Afghanistan to get the taliban was a right thing to do but why did we need to attack Iraq. Hussein had no WMDs and bush knew it, he just wanted to get rid of Hussein. Afghan should of been our only problem.

IMO the Iraq war was unnecessary, and only resulted in speeding up the impending civil war between the different ethnic groups. Saddam was a tyrant but he only did so to prevent Iran from invading his country and annexing the Shia areas of his county. As for Afghanistan we should have put more effort into this war, we've had a stake in it since the Soviets occupied the country do its our job to hunt down our enemies.

How about you talk to some of the people over there and then we'll see where you stand. My best friend is over there (Iraq) until February. She's been there for 3 months now, and she talks to me about how much things have changed since they got there. Violence is beyond low right now. The first day they got there they had 4 VIED's. 4! Now they've been 6 days without one. (Knock on wood.)

Fact of the matter is you, nor any of us, have the intel that our Government has. If it was wrong for us to be there, when our new commander and chief took over he would have pulled our forces out immediatly. Obviously that's not the case now is it. I hate how civilians think they know everything about what's going on in the world. They don't! If you really want to change the way things are, then step up and run for congress yourself. People elect others to run the government, and if you don't vote then you don't get a say. If you did vote and you have a problem, then you're outta luck you voted for that person. If you voted and the person that won wasn't the one that you voted for, I'm sorry that's just how the system goes.

If you don't think these actions are justifiable, think about this.
Spoiler:
Let me destroy your home and everyone that lives there, and then we'll see how you feel.

Their government can't control the extremists within the country so they are grateful that our troops are their to maintain peace which is quite ironic as they are fighting. But once the countries are under control their police will be able to manage and there will be no need for troops to stay there.

That was not needed. Before we invaded Iraq there was little violence and taliban were not strong there. Only after the invasion did violence escalate as the taliban had the opportunity to begin a rising there against the UN and Iraq. The current civil war there also wouldnt be as intense as it is now.

Did you forget that Saddam was constantly massacring his own people?
Right, minor detail there.

Afghanistan->taliban->9/11... enough said there.

Iraq. The worldwide opinion was that there were WMDs in the hands of evil dictator Saddam Hussein that were going to be used against America and its allies, endangering public safety and well being. That was the view. No matter how bleeder you are you did not know that they did not have these weapons. What's scary is people that voted against going into Iraq ,because there was no possible way of knowing that there were no WMDs when it was the worldwide opinion. I'm not sure about you, but I believe in taking out murderer dictators who slaughter their own people, if it will ensure the safetly of my people and my family and my friends... especially when everyone believes that he indeed is goind to harm them.

So he didn't have the WMDs. Well we went in there and took him out, so now its damned well our job to make sure the government is fixed and does not plummet into a state of chaos and anarchy, leaving terrorist leaders a straight path into power.

People against the war in Iraq. It seems either you don't care if your own people are blown to bits, or you believe in hit and run, going into a country and destroying their leader, leaving them to fend for themselves. That's against/pull out for you.
